Inspiring Quote of the Day
"Those who try to do something and fail are infinitely better than those who try to do nothing and succeed."
~ Lloyd Jones
Word of the Day
Deuteronomy 6: 6-7 AMP
These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be [written] on your heart and mind. You shall teach them diligently to your children [impressing God’s precepts on their minds and penetrating their hearts with His truths] and shall speak of them when you sit in your house and when you walk on the road and when you lie down and when you get up.
Exclusive Interview with William Paul Young
I was honored to have the author of the novel, which inspired the new movie in theaters today, "The Shack", William Paul Young. We talked about the inspiration for the novel, the similarities and differences between the movie and the book, the awesome cast, and the controversy surrounding the film.
Based on the New York Times best-selling novel, The Shack takes us on a father’s uplifting spiritual journey. After suffering a family tragedy, Mack Phillips [Sam Worthington] spirals into a deep depression causing him to question his innermost beliefs. Facing a crisis of faith, he receives a mysterious letter urging him to an abandoned shack deep in the Oregon wilderness. Despite his doubts, Mack journeys to the shack and encounters an enigmatic trio of strangers led by a woman named Papa [Octavia Spencer]. Through this meeting, Mack finds important truths that will transform his understanding of his tragedy and change his life forever. Summit Entertainment presents a Gil Netter / Windblown Media production.

Tasha Cobbs ties the knot!
Congratulations to Tasha Cobbs who tied the knot over the weekend!
Cobbs married music director and producer Kenneth Leonard, Jr. on Friday, March 3rd. The couple were married in a surprise ceremony witnessed by family and close friends.
Kenneth Leonard, Jr. serves as music director for Anthony Hamilton, Tamia, as well as Tasha Cobbs. A grad of North Carolina State University, Leonard presents his annual HISound conference to equip professional musicians in various areas.
“We’ve never kept our relationship a secret, but with both of us working publicly in the music industry, we wanted the opportunity to celebrate privately,” shares Cobbs. “After a year of pre-marital counseling and much planning, the timing was finally perfect. It was incredible to be able to surprise those closest to us!”
Tye Tribbett Bloody Win Tour
Tasha is also gearing up to hit the road with Tye Tribbett, JJ Hairston, and Jekalyn Carr for the Bloody Win Tour...That's the name of Tye's new album. See the list above for tour dates, and locations.
Pick Hit of the Week
James Fortune is back with new music, "I Forgive Me".
Bishop Derrick Johnson is heading to Africa for mission work.
God has commissioned me to Liberia, Africa during the third week of March 2017. This is an opportunity for my staff and me to minister to over 75 churches, orphanages, and schools. I am extremely excited to go and need your help. If 140 of my closest family and friends would be willing to contribute a love token of just $25, it will help me to be able to make this happen.
Thank you in advance and may God return your gift unto you 100 fold.
Yours in Christ,
Bishop Derrick S. Johnson, Sr.

Yesterday Bishop Johnson's wife Lady Neila had her 4th annual Sister's Helping Sisters Win event at the Double Tree in Monroeville. It was an awesome event of giving, testimonies, music, food, fellowship, and love as sisters from all over came together to help each other win!
Plans are already being made for next year's 5th Anniversary, and Lady Neila promised it will be even bigger and better so make plans to attend. The event is held the first Saturday of March each year. I've been blessed to be a part of all 4 and look forward to next year as well!

I know for me this is the season of the "redo"... there are some things I tried before, things that didn't work out the way I saw them, the way that I thought they should have gone, for many reasons. But God has prompted me to try again...I encourage you to try again as well!
